Running Around Kansas

Last week I completed my first half-marathon. It was tough, and I'm glad that I did it. Everyone was so accommodating in Kansas. Breakfast at the hotel is usually served at 7am, but the kitchen was nice enough to bring up our 12 slices of toast and 2 big bowls of oatmeal earlier for our big race. Our atletic director called this "the breakfast of champions".The team was pretty nervous, and when the gun went off, I thought, "Here we go, this is it. What the heck did I get myself into?!" I'm not going to go into all the details of the race...that would be boring, but it was a beautiful place to run, and I had a lot of time to enjoy it.
This is me 100 feet from the finishing line. I look happy don't I?
